We Stand for Unity

by Pastor Amy Lubienski

At Celebration Foursquare Church, we believe that we are called to love people from the overflow of the love God has poured into us, and based on the value He has placed on our lives as Creator and Savior.

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. - John 3:16

We make intentional effort to ensure that every man, woman, and child representing diverse ethnic backgrounds in the richness of God’s design, has a place at the table. All people bear God’s image and likeness with equal status, and are to be treated as equals in society and especially in the Church.

26 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. - Galatians 3:26-29

14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of Him who is the head, that is, Christ. 16 From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. - Ephesians 4:14-16

As followers of Jesus, we are called to stand up for the oppressed, act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God. (Micah 6:8)

We will rejoice with those who rejoice, and mourn with those who mourn, living in harmony with each other (Romans 12:15)

For these reasons we firmly stand against any and every form of racism. Racism is a despicable evil rooted in demonic agenda, used to degrade and devalue humanity—God’s image-bearers, and His prized possession. It has no place in the body of Christ.

Holy Spirit! We cry out to You! Thank You Father for making us in Your image. As image-bearers of You, we desire to love people as You have loved us. We lament that sin and strongholds have infested our world ever since the Garden of Eden. We humbly ask that you forgive, and turn to heal our land.

Holy Spirit, thank You for showing us how to be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to get angry. Show us how to speak the truth in love. Show us how to represent You to a hurting and broken world with compassion. We are so thankful for Your presence. We love You. Thank You for reconciling us to You and to each other and for forgiving our sins.
